Description:
The different incarnations of the Range Rover certainly did not always owe their popularity to their muted colours. The first SUV Made in Britain boasted exactly the kind of automotive flair that was a rare sight on the Continent in the nineteen seventies. The Range Rover possessed somewhat of a unique selling point in its ability to deliver a comfortable all-wheel experience – and to add an element of luxury to off-road driving. WIKING is now releasing the Brit with an attractive red colour scheme. With this design, the traditional model makers miniaturise the first generation of the Range Rover, capturing it in all its purist glory with a contemporary red look. The luxury off-roader, which was once teamed up with the Land Rover by British Leyland, would never have made it into WIKING’s product range back then. Its real-world sibling was simply too much of a niche product. Looking back on automotive history, this assessment has changed substantially. The Range Rover has come to be considered the mother of today’s ever so popular SUV Body red, orange-brown interior. Chassis, but also steering wheel and radiator grille, black. A-, B- and C-beam in red. Wheels light ivory. Bumpers imprinted silver. Headlamps are transparent inserts, "Range Rover" lettering on the front of the engine hood in black. Door handles, door locks, vent slots and fuel filler neck in black, tail lights red, indicators orange and reversing lights imprinted silver. Black lettering at the rear “Range Rover”.
