It is all down to the fine-tuning! With the Fendt 1050 Vario, WIKING stays true to the enhancements given to the prototype – which is apparent at a glance. The overhaul of the Fendt 1050 Vario includes a significant update that became necessary after the distinctive look of the perforated sheet covering the exhaust on the passenger side gave the brand a much more dynamic image. The facelift has made the tractor from Marktoberdorf even more towering, while the intricate ornamental trim adds a distinctive design counterpoint to the Fendt 1050 Vario. And, there is another detail that bears closer inspection: The cockpit is refined ergonomically and rounded out by the FendtONE upgrade. The update is thus a reflection of today’s digitised work station in the tractor cab - even on the 1:87 scale. WIKING’s designers have managed to reproduce the design of the prototype so closely that the accentuations on the model paint a harmonious picture of the entire interior. The final product is an eye-catching farming model that adds flamboyance to the 1:87 range as the miniaturised version is already indicative of the original’s dominant dimensions. With the Fendt Vario 1050, WIKING lets the Marktoberdorf top performer of the large tractor take the lead in 1:87. In the performance class between 380 and 500 hp, the series with the top 1050 Vario tractor has become the new primary driver of the global tractor market. WIKING miniaturises the evolutionary Fendt design and is able to impress with the compact chassis structure and new “x5 S” cab. The traditional model makers are thus once again taking on a Fendt tractor, the original of which, with a maximum height of 3.60 metres and a tare weight of 14 tonnes, is significantly lighter than the traditional designs in the 500 hp performance class, making it more flexible and thus more versatile. Their extensive design experience has allowed WIKING to ensure that even the miniaturised version of the “x5 S” cab offers a clear and fascinating view thanks to the addition of even more glass – the windows on the sides and the front have been lowered even further compared to the previous generation. Taking the interior to the next level, the upgrade to the FendtONE work station exemplifies perfection in model building.
