This is also reflected in the 1:43 model launched by WIKING, which was developed in close cooperation with the designers who engineered the original. As a matter of fact, this cutting-edge generation of the panther has come to be used world-wide. Scoring high marks with its 750 HP engine and maximum speed of 120 km/h, the Panther 6x6 is capable of dispersing 14,000 litres of extinguishing agent per call. Better yet, this airport giant generates a pump output of 9,000 l/min – and accelerates from 0 to 80 km/h in less than 31 seconds!Rosenbauer’s latest generation of the Panther 6x6 demonstrates what has changed compared to its revolutionary forerunner. Particular focus was placed on superior driving and vehicle safety, maximum usability and ease of use as well as perfect driving performance. The 1:43 model is mainly crafted by hand and made up of a combination of die-cast zinc components and plastic elements. The paintwork design and details correspond to the Panther original. And, the model also offers the same movability of the steerable front axle as its real-world sibling. The designers have managed to miniaturise the cab behind the glazing true to scale. Finally, the water monitor can be positioned as needed for the job at hand. All in all, the design of the WIKING model is as close to the real-life original as possible.
