This mobile crane is the perfect addition to the water-blue series of construction vehicles. Modelled after the Fuchs original, this compact dragline excavator is presented as a self-propelled machine on the Magirus Saturn chassis base – a WIKING classic and a delightful treat in model form! This allows the three-axle square hood shine as a construction site specialist that could not be more typical of the time period. Especially during the construction boom of the 1960s, construction companies - and municipalities - enhanced the tried-and-tested Fuchs dragline excavator F 301 by mounting them on these robust chassis, giving them unprecedented mobility. Already picked for many transport jobs in the water-blue construction site series, the square hood was valued as indestructible at the time. A large number of Fuchs mobile cranes were kept in service until the 1990s. Today, the F 301 is the most recognizable Fuchs dragline excavator – at least more than 15,000 units that have been sold over the span of two decades. In hindsight, the success of this model should come as no surprise seeing as the manufacturer continuously developed the dragline excavator over the years of its production and made it available with a host of equipment options.
