Description:
This is the first large modern classic tractor WIKING has ever made in 1:32! The IHC 1455 XL miniaturised as standard tractor with all-wheel drive, which was once built in Neuss. This type is one of the largest tractors built at the time by International Harvester. It was IHCs response to the changing requirements in German agriculture, which required more horsepower and therefore larger and more powerful tractors. The last IHC 1455XL was completed on 20 December 1996. It was therefore the last tractor worldwide designed by International Harvester, and was built for a further eleven years after the merger with Case. While the now revealed IHC has the classical grid radiator grille, the Case model of the last prototype generation is fitted with a flat front and dominating headlamps. This guarantees attractive combinations from the period between the 1980s and 2000s, especially given the fact that the 1455 XL is still used on many farms today. A large number of farmers simply do not want to let go of this classic, which has been serving them as a reliable companion for decades.

WIKING miniature displays palpable weightJust as the original, the WIKING miniature demonstrates palpable weight: Along with the bonnet and the front weight with trailer coupling, the chassis is crafted from metal. WIKING fits the exhaust pipe on the bonnet and makes the air scoop out of plastic. A shiny chrome exhaust - affectionately referred to by enthusiasts as “Brüllrohr” (roaring pipe) - was an accessory option that could be retrofitted on the original and is included by WIKING at no additional charge. Naturally, the traditional model makers attach prime importance to miniaturising the wheels so that they resemble the original in every detail. The same holds true for the radiator grille with inserted transparent front headlamps that are made of plastic. Embellishing the rear are the permanently installed and transparent red tail lights. What is more, the rear coupling is movably attached. Equipped with doors that open on both sides, the cab is moulded from plastic – and the number plate on the rear even comes with a reproduced lighting system. For over 25 years now, agriculture has counted as a rich source of subjects which WIKING has in the meantime been able to accelerate through high investment levels in new moulds, but above all through its specialist knowledge of the history of agricultural machinery and its design expertise. For example, the traditional model makers are bringing an outstanding modern classic tractor into the range.
