Just as the motorcycles with and without side cars, the handcart driver was a popular staple in WIKING's selection as a favoured contributor in creating the big world of small miniatures. Anyone studying the history of WIKING knows about the meaningful impact the product range of the fifties and sixties had on the company’s business. At the time, WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer was imbued with a distinct sense of mission and felt the desire to make a contribution to traffic education. The road map, which WIKING has already presented as a faithful reprint at the request of many collectors, was intended to transfigure the learning goals of traffic education into models and accessories that children could touch with their hands. The handcart driver and the motorcycles were part of this concept for a long time.
