Description:
The company was founded in 1923 by Cecil Kimber in Oxford (England) as MG "Morris Garages". In 1928, a simple, two-seater sports car called the Midget was built for the first time. It was the brand's first successful model, because the sports car based on the Morris Minor was not only inexpensive, but also offered very good performance. After the Second World War, the MC TC appeared in November 1945 - it looked very similar to the pre-war model and also had an almost identical engine. By changing the compression to 7.4:1 slightly, the engine power increased slightly from 54 bhp (39.7 kW) at 5200 rpm to 54.5 bhp (40 kW) at 5200 rpm. The interior also received more modern equipment and a wider interior. The TC marked the beginning of the third T series of the distinctive two-seater. Over 10,000 of the right-hand drive export version of the USA with smaller "sealed beam" headlights and larger double taillights as well as indicators and chrome-plated bumpers at the front and rear were manufactured, a fairly impressive sales volume for MG standards. In Great Britain in 1947, you had to put around ÂŖ527 on the table to call such a gem your own. How affordable, in comparison, is the miniature of the noble classic car. With the finest prints and lots of chrome-plated decorations in the chic two-tone paintwork, the proud owner sets off for a spin in the countryside. One arm rests casually on the car door and the other grips the steering wheel. UPC: 4001738459180
